The space is small and busy. So be prepared to wait. We got there at a slower time, after walking out from Mekong Palace due to a bad experience. We were craving soup dumplings and we were not disappointed. The dumplings were hot and the broth was perfectly seasoned. We will be back! Pro tip: Put your name on the waitlist inside. We didn't

Came here for the dumps! Lol. My friend and I wanted to try this place out. Stopped by on a Tuesday around 5pm and they were already pretty busy. This place is small so plan accordingly. We were seated right away and were asked a few times within minutes if we knew what we wanted to order. Are perusing the menu, we decided to share xiao long bao, the dumpling combo and bao combo. The xiao long bao were the star! So flavorful and juicy, definitely recommend getting these. Next time we'll order two orders! Haha. I would say the bao combo was not what I expected. It is a fluffier, chewer dough with the meat filling. Probably my least favorite of the three just personal preference. The dumpling combo was a lot but I liked these as well.

The food was so fresh. The noodles were next level. The boa buns were as good as the ones I have eaten in Sydney. The service was efficient and friendly. Such a clean restaurant

Loved the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup! Highly recommend. Rich and flavorful. Not too keen on the chicken or vegetable baos. These baos were crunchier and not soft. We did however loooove the dessert baos! The red bean, taro, and custard baos were all great, very soft and pillowy.

One of my favorite Chinese places if not the best. I have been coming here for a little over a year now and I always get their chili dumplings and beef noodle soup. Definitely recommend. I have tried the spicy beef noodle soup, but they have this Chinese sauce that makes your tongue feel like its tingly, was not the biggest fan of that, but it was still good! I instead like to order the regular beef noodle soup and just add their chili oil to it, pretty much the same thing just without the tingly sensation. I have only tried a couple other items from their menu, but the chili dumplings and the noodle soup are the best from what I have tried in the past. The service isnt always great, but I work in restaurant as well so I understand when they arent 100%, Especially on weekends when its the busiest. The food makes it all worth it. I first came here alone a year ago, then brought my mom. She isnt the biggest fan of asian food, but she LOVED this place and keeps going back along with me. Also brought my older sister, also loved it, then my nephew, brother in law, and dad. THEY ALL LOVE IT. It has become a place where if we dont know where to eat out, we always just end up coming to Happy Bao's. Inside it is very small. I suggest coming in during the week when its not busy or pretty early on the weekends as they do get especially busy on those days. Never had a bad experience here and I will keep coming for those delicious dumplings.

Happy Bao's, you're unbelieva-bao! I've been here a handful of times now, and I gotta say, I like this place. I've had a wide range of items, and I walk away satisfied every time. It's no Din Tai Fung, which will be coming to the valley soon, but they're pretty good. Plus, you can dine happily knowing you're supporting local. Get the spicy chili wontons, an order of XLB, some dan dan noodles, and the Hong Kong fried rice. No bad bites here. It's a cozy place, so try not to come here in a party greater than four. Enjoy!

So good! We really enjoyed the food. It is very filling and very tasty. The service is also quick.

Totally completely loaded with people! I wanted to sit away from everyone so i had to ask twice for a table and wait for it to be cleaned which i don't mind. A girl was dancing while eating her food so she must be happy! That brought me hope! I heard other people talk on Yelp (always checking the reviews first ) about how friendly the server was, and I saw it! Melissa was ON THE BALL!!! She never stopped moving and was attentive yet not intrusive! The other girl was great too! What's amazing is this entire Mekong Plaza is like a huge Asian food court heaven ! I even saw Taiwanese food! The smells that waft over you, as you walk up are quite heavenly! There aren't any bathrooms in the restaurant, but there are two "food court" restaurants nearby. This place was sooooo packed with people, it was nice to see so many out! Lots of kids eating too! I thought it was pretty clean everywhere and it seemed like more businesses are going up because there were unpacked boxes across the hall from Bao's. The decor is simple, but pretty. The music was low. Clean. The people who work here NEVER stop moving! They were bussing the tables right away, while preparing orders to go as well! Time to EAT!!! Yayyyyy! The heat from the freshly cooked bao buns could be felt as she lay my plate down! Very pretty presentation! The dumpling sauce was flavorfullyvsyrong, nice. The chili oil was spicyyyy, but yummy. I haddddd to cut the bao in half! Just to share what it looked like! The toasted sesame seeds were so nice! I was expecting a sweeter flavor, but it was so savory, moist and all around perfect! I tried it with the sauce, but I think i prefer no sauce (for once) . If i could eat one thing for the REST of my life , i think i would TOTALLY choose this house fried rice! Just look at the big shrimp! Nice and clean!! I've had Chinese sausage a millllionnnnn times, but i wonder why this one tasted so much better? My goodness!!!! I could order this EVERY WEEK and not tire of it! I would say it's a DEFINITE YESSSSSS!!! Yaassssss!!!! Yes, Gurl, yes! Totally recommend and LOVE!!! I can't wait to try other things on the menu!
